How to Create a Cloud-Init VM Template in Proxmox VE 9

Prerequisites

• Proxmox VE 9 installed and running
• Access to the Proxmox web interface
• A cloud-init enabled image (e.g., Ubuntu Cloud Image)

Step 1: Download Cloud-Init Image

1. SSH into your Proxmox server or use the shell from the web interface

2. Download a cloud-init enabled image. For example, to download Ubuntu 22.04:
